Nostalgia Friday: Alias (Show)

Nostalgia Friday: Alias (Show)

What: A badass woman who is a spy, kicking butt, takin’ names, and looking Fabulous. Sydney Bristow is the best spy fraking ever, and she is at the center of a centuries long conspiracy stemming from Milo Rambaldi. This show is filled with twists, turns, and all the cliff hangers.

Why: I grew up watching Sydney have the skills to always take care of herself no matter the situation. I mean what little girl doesn’t want to grow up to be an independent, slightly violent, complete genius spy? That was my dream anyway, and this was my favorite show. Jennifer Garner is an amazing actress who can shift from total badass to fragile young girl in an instant. Sydney’s power is only made so astonishing by the contrast of her vulnerability. She cries and feels, and stresses about stuff, but she also forking deals with it. This show is a wonderful example of how complex women are. We can have it all, do it all, be it all. We just have to be willing to blind people with out inner amazingness.

Also: there is Bradley Cooper, Victor Garber, Marrin Dungey, David Anders, and so many other crazy talented actors in this show. Not to mention, it’s brought to you by J.J. Abrams, so you might recognize some of his common plot devises.
