Star vs. the Forces of Evil (TV Show)

I know that I am an adult, or whatever, but I can't help but adore this show. This cartoon about a rebel princess learning to use her magic, and trying to understand earth with the help of her new best friend Marco, is just what every young feminist needs. Star Butterfly works hard to change people misconceptions about what it means to be a princess. She is loud, messy, silly, and totally a badass. The Best part is that she is a badass in the most girly way. It teaches young girls that they can be tough and fight monsters while also liking dresses, glitter, and unicorns. 
It doesn't hurt that the story arcs of this show are actually pretty intense. I just finished season 2 recently. As the episode ended and the credits silently rolled I just sat there unable to process that heartbreaking cliff hanger. I would say if you want a cute, fun show that will make you laugh and only occasionally break your heart, then check this out. 
Also, I totally ship Starco.
