Making History (TV Show)
Something you probably don't know about me is that I LOVE history. I also LOVE time travel. I often daydream about going back in time and how I would mess around with everything. That is why Making History is, so far, my dream show.
Making History is a comedy about an idiot guy (played by Adam Pally) who frequently travels back to 1775. He has a girlfriend (Leighton Meester), takes credit for classic pop culture phrases, and accidentally stops the American Revolution from starting. He gets the help of a history professor (Yassir Lester) and tries to put everything back together. The hilarious mixture of modern societal values with colonial prejudice, makes this show perfect for a country trying to figure out when America was last great. Pally's character woos Meester with his ability to think of women as more than property (every woman's dream). Lester's character has to come to terms with the fact that despite being smart and well spoken no one will see him for anything more than the color of his skin (you know nothing like today).
If you are a stickler for time travel rules or accurate history, then I would say this show is not for you. However, if you want to see John Hancock and Sam Adam play pranks on people then check this out. Also, if you are still coming down from a Hamilton high, then this might be your next fix.
