Saying Goodbye: Adventure Time (Show)

What: Adventure Time is a cartoon show that was originally intended for kids and possibly pre-teens (But many adults watch as well). It is about Finn, the last human on earth, and his adoptive brother Jake, a magical stretching dog. They work for Princess Bubblegum, the monarch of the Candy Kingdom, to battle various monsters and keep everyone safe. They are constantly going on adventures, duh, and trying their best to be heros.

Why: First of all this whole show takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. Throughout the series you learn more about “The Mushroom War” and why Finn is the Last Human, and how the world became this way.

Second, Finn grows throughout the show into an amazing young man. The character development in the cartoon for children is unique and intriguing.

Third, all the side characters are amazing from LSP (Lumpy Space Princess) to Ice King to Marceline I love them all (except Tree Trunks, but that might just be me).

Finally, the animation is freaking amazing! All the colors and backgrounds, and imaginative creatures. I have a series of AT postcards on my wall just because they are so pretty.

Why Now: It Just ended and It was amazing! The ten season might seem daunting, but it is so worth is. This lovely little popcorn show will be your solace during a long week.
